dxFeed ZeroDTE
Overview
dxFeed ZeroDTE prices same-day SPX and XSP option structures on the live chain. Send a straddle, strangle, vertical spread, butterfly or iron condor, with strikes expressed in standard deviations of today’s priced move, and get back the fair value beside the screen price, the maximum profit and loss, the break-evens, and the market-implied odds of keeping the credit, of a partial loss and of the maximum loss.
Every number is read from the distribution of today’s close that the whole 0DTE option chain implies, fitted arbitrage-free at the moment of the call. ZeroDTE makes no forecast and claims no edge: it makes the market’s own pricing legible, so two structures can be compared on the same footing and the worst case is known before the order is placed. When the chain is too thin to fit, it returns a reason rather than a number
ZeroDTE is built on dxFeed’s consolidated OPRA options feed and dxLink, and is delivered as a REST API with a documented contract or as the Today’s Odds panel in DXcharts. It is developed by dxFeed’s AI & Quant Research team.
What You Get
| Fair Value Beside the Screen Price | The structure’s value under the chain-implied distribution, next to the quoted mid, including legs the market barely quotes. |
| Maximum Loss, Known Before the Trade | Arithmetic on the contract, not a risk model: the worst case to the dollar, equal to the margin the broker will ask. |
| Market-Implied Odds | The chance of keeping the credit, of a partial loss and of the maximum loss, bounded by the breakevens and comparable across structures |
| The Whole Distribution | The density of today’s close, extracted live from the chain and returned with the fit parameters so any number can be reproduced. |
Typical Use Cases
- Option Position Builder with Live Odds
- Defined-Risk Presets in Standard-Deviation Units
- Position Sizing and Pre-Trade Risk Checks
- Quote Quality and Execution Analysis
KeyBenefits
| One Scale, Every Day | Strikes are set in units of today’s priced move, so a ±1.5 sd condor is the same trade on a quiet Monday and on a CPI Friday |
| Consistent, Not Opinionated | Every figure is an integral against the same marketimplied curve, so two structures can be compared without a model view in between. |
| Honest About Thin Markets | Late in the session, when two-sided quotes run out, ZeroDTE says so instead of publishing a number it cannot stand behind. |
