BIST Stock indices are created to measure the joint performance of group of equities traded on Borsa İstanbul.

Dividend Indices

Two dividend indices, namely BIST Dividend Index and BIST Dividend 25 Index are calculated. The index consists of the stocks of companies traded on the Stars, Main and Emerging Companies markets, all of them having distributed cash dividends in the last 3 years.

Corporate Governance Index

BIST Corporate Governance Index aims to measure the price and return performances of companies traded on Stars, Main and Emerging Companies markets with a corporate governance rating of minimum 7 over 10 as a whole and minimum of 6.5 for each main section.

City Indices

Effective from the beginning of 2009, Borsa İstanbul started to compute City Indices in order to monitor the price and return performances of those companies which have their main production premises or registered offices in the same city. 

BIST Sustainability Index

BIST Sustainability Index aims to provide a benchmark for Borsa İstanbul companies with high performance on corporate sustainability and to increase the awareness, knowledge and practice on sustainability in Turkey. Moreover the index is a platform for institutional investors to demonstrate their commitment to companies managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues with high performance.

IPO Index

The index is composed of stocks of the companies offered to the public and started to be traded on Stars, Main and Emerging Companies markets and stocks of the real estate investment trusts and venture capital investment trusts that are offered to the public and started to be traded on the Collective and Structured Products Market.

SME Industrial Index

The index include the stocks of industrial companies traded in the BIST Stars, BIST Main and the BIST Emerging Companies markets and who satisfy, with respect to the latest annual balance sheet available on PDP (Public Disclosure Platform) as of the review day, at least one of the annual net sales or financial balance sheet size criteria that appear in the SME definition of the related ordinance of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

BIST Liquid Banks Index

BIST Liquid Banks Index consists of the stocks of banks traded on Stars Market Group 1 with the highest Average FFMV and Daily Average Traded Value. The minimum number of stocks to be constituted in the index is 6.

BIST Liquid 10 Ex Banks Index

BIST Liquid 10 Ex Banks Index consists of  stocks of 10 companies excluding banks, traded on Stars Market Group 1 with the highest Average FFMV and Daily Average Traded Value.
